I'm Eva Mendlova and I at the Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences in Prague.
A questionnaire, that you hold in your hands, is a supporting part of my thesis, it´s main purpose is to map the way in which households in different parts of the world treat their waste.
Please, fill it in accordance with the way, as you really do it. Only that way, the results will have a meanigful sense.
I beg your indulgence. The questionnaire is written by my country, so some questions may seem strange to you. Whatever is in your country, otherwise, please write to me, just looking for it.

99% of the population does not sort the waste. the local authorithies do not encourage enough the people to sort. Most of the sorting is done by people that gain money from collecting paper or metal or plastic PET from the waste collection points in the city. There are also some campaigns from time to time that collect electrical and electronical waste and also paper. I think these are not frequent enough.
In Paris I find confusion that every part of the town has another system of sorting. Also we had a way of collecting organic kitchen waste and now, we don´t have it any more (changes in the kitchen construction because of security reaasons in the whole building - there was a sort of trap window and a conduit where to throw them even from higher floors)

Our service is bundled (recycling, compost, landfill). Although we do not generate trash, we cannot drop the service. It would be better to have a "pay as you throw" system. We wish that our service would accept other items like used tennis shoes, etc. We can take speciality items like paint, shoes, etc. to a recycling center - but that is farther away.
the majority of wastes are burnet, there is no suitable way for recycling. air polution is very series problem because of that.
Though it's not compulsary for public to sort the waste, the government try to encourage people to sort some kind of waste that can be re-cycled or need special care, i.e. batteries.

Poznámky:
1) Globální procenta se počítají s ohledem na celkový počet respondentů, lokální četnost bere potaz pouze respondenty, kteří danou otázku zodpověděli.
2) U otázek typu "seznam - alespoň jedna" si mohli respondenti zvolit více odpovědí, proto součet procent u jednotlivých odpovědí nemusí dát dohromady 100 %
3) Na povinnou otázku musí respondent zodpovědět pouze v případě, kdy mu je zobrazena. Dotazník může obsahovat skoky mezi otázkami, takže lze na základě určitých odpovědí některé otázky přeskakovat.
4) Tato funkce je zatím v testovacím stadiu a je určena spíše pro zábavu - mějte na paměti, že může zobrazovat i nesmysly. V tomto momentě probíhá pouze automatická analýza dvojic výroků, zavislosti kombinací výroků můžete zatím sledovat pouze prostřednictvím funkce zjišťování závislostí odpovědí.
